Ministry of Information Technology and PTA has lifted the ban from Youtube but facebook is still banned till 31st May, decision about facebook will be taken on 31st of May whether to ban it further or not.

I had been banned from Facebook and my account had been disabled a night before Facebook was banned in Pakistan. Before all this happened, I visited the blasphemous page “Draw Muhammad Day†and the content on the page hurt me badly.

ISLAMABAD: After blocking Facebook and Youtube, Pakistani authorities on Friday further widened the crackdown on websites with blasphemous contents by restricting access to popular social networking website Twitter.
Pakistani users were unable to log into Twitter after internet service providers blocked access to the site.

Pakistan causes worldwide YouTube outage

On Friday, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ordered 70 Internet service providers to block access to YouTube.com, because of anti-Islamic movies on the video-sharing site, which is owned by Google Inc.

After the LHC imposed a ban on facebook.com till 31st May 2010, now it is the turn of youtube.com to get banned in Pakistan. Apparently, the reason for this ban is most probably the same one used for facebook as there is a huge assumption that the pictures of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would be broad casted at youtube as well.
As a part of contingency, ISPs have taken this step most probably to stop such broadcasts in Pakistan because there is nothing to be heard from...

Pakistan’s government ordered Internet service providers to block Facebook on Wednesday amid anger over a page that encourages users to post images of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.
